Methodology

Dates you can explain.

The planner uses deterministic rules. It does not use AI, infer hidden work, or change the plan outside the browser.

Working-day dates

Tasks use Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays are skipped; public holidays are not modeled. A one-day task starts and finishes on the same working day.

Dependencies

A dependent task begins on the next working day after its latest dependency finishes. Several branches can run in parallel. Milestones take zero days and mark their calculated date.

Complexity

Preset durations use multipliers: lean 0.75, standard 1, and complex 1.35. Non-milestone tasks are rounded to at least one working day.

Target dates

The target is advisory. The planner shows the calculated finish and the working-day buffer or overrun. It never hides an impossible schedule.

Limits

The first release does not model holidays, resource capacity, dependency lags, or overlapping dependency types. Always review the generated plan with the people responsible for delivery.
